Electronic pharmacy and its licensing controls. An invitation was sent from the Ministry of Justice to the General Syndicate of Pharmacists and two sub-captains to attend today's meeting to present the Syndicate's vision. It included several points, namely: That the principles of Law No. 127 of 1955 regulating the pharmacy profession be the governing framework for every development that arises for the mechanization of pharmaceutical services in order to preserve the entity of this profession. It is not allowed to benefit from these electronic services for any commercial or investment entities, unlike public pharmacies, in accordance with the provisions of the law. Studying the current situation in terms of its readiness to provide such services with the aim of identifying problems and challenges and setting the future picture in preparation for the development stage. Provide everything that guarantees public pharmacies to provide their services to the public away from the climate of competition and speculation in accordance with the rules of practicing the profession. Study and provide what is necessary to enhance the infrastructure and the technical system and benefit from the results of similar experiences in various fields to ensure the quality and sustainability of the proposed service. Defining controls and objectives and setting mechanisms for evaluating and developing the proposed service in order to achieve the integration of institutional work systems. Developing the drug tracking system in a way that matches the requirements of this type of electronic service to find out everything that may affect the quality, safety and efficacy of the drug and to provide control over it at various stages until it reaches the end user. Work to rehabilitate pharmacies and raise their efficiency in order to provide pharmaceutical services with the same quality. Investing in raising the efficiency of human resources to build qualified cadres capable of activating and making the system successful in a way that achieves an added value and keeps pace with the development we witness and hope for for the Egyptian society. The meeting ended with an agreement on workshops at the Ministry of Health, attended by all participating parties, to agree on the readiness of the system for implementation.
